Once again, Southwick produced performances and attitudes to be proud of at a sports event today as the Year 5 Southwick Tag Rugby team competed in a 7-a-side tournament at Monkwearmouth Academy. After only a few weeks training, our players showed some excellent skill, resilience and determination to finish a fantastic 3rd in the competition! After 1 defeat, 1 win and 2 draws in the group stage, we played a 3rd place playoff against Dame Dorothy – winning 4-3.
All of our children gave it their all, with Monkwearmouth commenting on the fantastic teamwork, spirit and atmosphere created on what was another excellent day for Southwick.
