This week we have been learning all about Space. We have looked at the different planets and found out that we live of planet Earth. We have used pom poms and balloons to print our own mini Earth pictures. As a group we made our very own rocket using junk materials, it was fabulous!
We have looked at fiction and non-fiction books and learnt lots of facts about the planets. We have particularly enjoyed reading ‘Whatever Next’ and ‘The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet’.
We have had lots of fun dressing up as astronauts and little bear from the story.
In our provision we have played with space themed small world toys, made our own kinetic sand, created space pictures with collage materials, learnt space songs and even made space rock buns. We’ve had lots of fun learning all about space!
