Year 6 Football team have had a week to remember

The Southwick Year 6 Football team have had a week to remember, racking up a magnificent 5 victories in 5 games. Every one of the players contributed to an excellent run of results, the highlights undoubtedly being an emphatic 6-0 win over Highfield and the resilience shown in tough games against Grangetown and Hastings Hill, grinding out the wins with great spirit and determination. The results should see us fly up the table and go in to the rest of our games full of confidence.

Harry Lewis – 9

Kept goal well, made some important saves.

Joseph Murphy – 9

An absolute rock in defence, calm and assured on the ball.

Luke Hilton – 9

Kept things simple and defended well throughout.

Ebony Longstaff – 9

Always a threat and never gave up, scored some excellent and important goals. Challenging for the world record for most headers in one game.

Lennon Scott – 9

Controlled the midfield at times, great feet and always looked to choose the right pass.

Macauley Nilsson – 9

Never, ever gave up on any ball and was always putting pressure on the opposition. Superb.

Ellis Taylor – 9

Touch was magnificent and absolutely lethal in front of goal, 9 goals in 5 games says it all.

Chris Samuel – 9

Played really well in goal on rotation with Harry, calm and made some vital saves.

Alex Richardson – 9

Made some crucial interceptions and clearances at the back to keep the pressure off.

Michael Robson – 9

Always causing problems with his direct running and scored with a lovely finish.
