Healthy Bods visit Years 1 and 2

The healthy Bods, from Sunderland University, visited Key Stage 1 to deliver a very important message about being healthy. The used singing and dancing to show us different ways that we can keep our bodies and minds healthy. Then we completed workshop and performed a dance all about our imaginary soup. It was a lot of fun!


Year 2 Infantasia Concert

Year 2 took part in a special concert, with some other local schools, to perform some different songs that they had been learning. Year 2 Gymnastics

Year 2 have been using different parts of their bodies to make different shapes and link them together to make a sequence. Then we used some different, more challenging apparatus to make a sequence too!

Year 1 and Year 2 Christmas Party

Year 1 and Year 2 danced the afternoon away at their Christmas Party this week. We had party food, played games and then had some dancing competitions. It was great fun!


Year 2 Art

Year 2 have been using lots of different colours and a technique called pointillism to create some colour wheels. Pointillism is where you use small dots to create a larger picture. We also experimented with different tones of colour to ensure we used the right shade on our artwork.

Children in Need

Class 4 came to school dressed in non school uniform and donated 50p to fundraise for Children in Need. We thought about all the different ways in which our money could help those children in need and made Pudsey biscuits!


Year 2 Anti-Bullying Week

Year 2 have been writing ‘positivity notes’ for everyone an displaying them in their classroom. This is part of their Anti Bullying week activities. The children agreed that it made everyone feel happy when reading them.
