Year 6 have completed their final piece of art work for our latest unit. They have combined a variety of techniques to showcase their learning this term. We are so impressed by their finished pieces. Take a look at our ‘Incredible rainforests of South America.’
This week children have taken part in lots of different activities to mark Remembrance Day. Some children have visited the cenotaph on Southwick Green and others have listened to stories and poems and also written some of their own. In Friday’s assembly, we were introduced to our new head boy, Theon, and our head girl , Amy. We know they will both do an amazing job! We also met our new school council representatives, well-being ambassadors and our house captains. What a busy morning we had! We couldn’t ask for better representatives and can’t wait for the year ahead.
Year 5 had a wonderful visit to Beamish museum on Wednesday. We were so impressed with their enthusiasm. They enjoyed looking around the different exhibits and taking part in an Evacuee workshop. This morning, at 11am, the whole school took part in a two minute silence for Remembrance Day. Each year group also contributed some wonderful work for an assembly all about this important day. We will be sharing some of this fantastic work soon…
