Year 6 Climbing Wall
Today, as part of Health Week, we braved the climbing wall!
This week the Girl’s Football Team took part in the Jill Scott Cup, hosted at Bexhill Academy. They put in three fantastic performances, recording their first win of the season in a brilliant 2-0 victory against Bexhill. We are extremely proud of them!
This afternoon our children from choir and show club put on a fantastic performance, singing for the customers at Tesco!
Today, Miss Hetherington’s Literacy Group went on a visit to the Live Theatre in Sunderland. They took part in a Play Maker’s workshop and had the opportunity to show off their acting skills, which were amazing by the way. We can see that our end of year production will be very dramatic! Watch this space for some of our amazing scripts!
Last week we had some absolutely wonderful news. Jessica Callaghan in Year 6 passed two trials to be selected for Sunderland Girls! This is an absolutely fantastic achievement, putting Jessica in the best ten schoolgirl footballers in the city. Needless to say, we are so proud of her and can’t wait to see her in a Lionesses kit in a few years time!
This Monday, we participated in a Netball tournament at Monkwearmouth. Over 4 games, we won 3 and drew 1, meaning we were FIRST PLACE! What an amazing afternoon, once again our children made us so proud.
Our Year 5 Mini Police members had a trip to remember this week, going out to the airport to see the Police Helicopter!

A huge well done to our children who took part in the Tyne and Wear Primary Ten Pin Bowling Challenge at Riverside, Sunderland this afternoon after achieving a third place finish!
