Year 4 Science Week…

For British Science Week we investigated microplastics and how we can filter them from the ocean. We looked at what microplastics are and how they make their way into the eco-system and the food we eat. We used sand as our microplastic and investigated which material would make the best filter-we were surprised at our results!


Year 4 Sewing in DT

We started our new topic of sewing this week and learned about the running stitch-we found it really tricky to thread the needle then knot the thread then we flew when actually sewing!


Year 3 Reading cafe

As part of ‘Reading Week’, Year 3 held a Reading cafe. We invited parents and carers into school to take part in a variety of reading themed activities. The children absolutely loved reading to their grown ups and showing off their amazing work! We really appreciate the parents and carers who took the time to attend our reading cafe. It really means a lot to the children and the staff!

Year 3 – Pancake Day

This week, Year 3 have been learning about Lent in RE lessons. As part of this, we looked at Shrove Tuesday and the reason people tend to make pancakes on this day. The children then decorated their own pancakes.

Year 4 reading café with parents..

We had a great time this afternoon with our parents. We made bookmarks, completed wordsearches and crosswords and showed our books too-we were nearly as proud as our parents!


Year 3 homework superstars!

Year 3 are so proud of Aliyah Dempster, Zoe Oghenovo and Esamay Stobbart for completing their maths homework every single week this half term. Well done girls!

Year 3 Inclusive Tennis

Year 3 had a fantastic time at Silksworth Tennis Centre taking part in so many fun and exciting activities. They absolutely loved it and can’t wait until they can do it again!


Year 4 spelling games…

To help us learn our spellings we play lots of games including Scrabble tiles and the post it game-we find them really helpful and our spelling scores have massively improved!
