Year 6 Climbing Wall
Today, as part of Health Week, we braved the climbing wall!
Our wonderful School Council members visited the residents at Gildacre Fields to plant some beautiful flowers in their outdoor area.
Year 6 went to the old site of The Wearmouth Colliery where the Stadium of Light now sits. We learned all about the history of the area and our mining heritage-we had the best day! We did some sports since the site is now a sporting hub, we met a gentleman with a heritage of mining and looked at how the SAFC badge has
We had 5 tiny caterpillars 3 weeks ago and today we released them as beautiful butterflies!
Class 11 were treat to hot chocolate and biscuits with Mr Robson for managing to get 100% attendance last week. Let’s keep it up Class 11. I wonder if we can win the attendance prize again next week?
This week the Girl’s Football Team took part in the Jill Scott Cup, hosted at Bexhill Academy. They put in three fantastic performances, recording their first win of the season in a brilliant 2-0 victory against Bexhill. We are extremely proud of them!
The theme for British Science week this year was connections. We completed this with a forensics themed week. We had to connect as a school to solve a crime – Who stole the globe?
We had to use chromatography to find out who has stolen the globe from the hall! They left a shopping list behind and we have worked out the pen belonged to Mr Scott!
