Our year 5 mini police members had lots of fun going to visit some of the amazing police horses.

Year 5 had fun going on an exciting walk to Souter Lighthouse to study our coastline and look at coastal erosion.
Making our community cleaner and safer
Hundreds of cigarette buts have been collected from our school area this weekend-please dispose of yours in the bin!

Year 2’s Trip to the Centre for Life!
Year 2 have had a terrific day learning ‘how to be a scientist’ at the centre for life. We conducted experiments testing our senses, we learned all about what it was like to be in space, we also sound out about how some stars can make patterns and pictures and much more! Derwent Hill Sunday
Well what a weekend we had! Every single member of our group has been utterly wonderful-it was a pleasure to spend time with your children this weekend!
Derwent Hill Saturday!
We had an early start today with breakfast at 8 then split into 4 groups to undertake activities. We have just had tea and are enjoying the sun on the lawn before orienteering this evening! More pictures will be added so keep checking each post!

We got the Mental Health Charter Mark Gold Award!
We do so much for the wellbeing of our children and staff here at Southwick Primary School and we are one of the first schools in the country to achieve a gold award! We are so very proud of all staff and children in school who have made this award possible and a big shout out to our Wellbeing Ambassadors, Samanta Borsut and Tiffany
