Our butterflies were freed today…

We got some caterpillars from Insect Lore and watched them grow for 2 weeks: they were huge after a week! The 5 caterpillars then cocooned themselves in their chrysalises and we watched them daily with baited breath. Finally a beautiful butterfly escaped its pupa prison, followed by 3 others. Sadly, one of them didn’t survive. The butterflies were fed a diet of sugar water and fresh daisies and after 10 days we set them free-it was magical!
