This term we are exploring the topic ‘all about me’. We loved reading the story Elmer and shared our ideas about how we are all unique and special. We retold the story, designed our own elephant masks, and even went on our own Elmer parade. We designed our own Elmer’s using different materials, and looked at the similarities the Elmer design has with the artist Paul Klee’s painting ‘Sunshine on Flora’. We loved exploring all the different colours in the painting just like Elmer’s patchwork. We used primary colours to make secondary colours, and in the style of Paul Klee painted our own elephant. We have had so much fun!
