The British Library hosted fairy stories with Michael Rosen, Jasbinder Bilan and Allen Fatimaharan and year 4 took part to start off World Book Week. We listened to a Punjabi taditional tale and did a draw along of the main character (The Snake Prince) and we listened to Michael’s retell of Golilocks and The Three Bears, Glodilocks and The Three Crocodiles-in this version Goldilock had a dog! We had to do the sound effects and had a great time!
We looked at what makes an excellent traditional tale such as a magical setting and object and an intruiging character too-we are going to create our own at home so keep an eye out for these! We had a great time!
