Year 4 remember them

In year 4 we have been reading the book ‘Where the poppies now grow’ by Hillary Robinson. We have explored the text and used our senses to see, hear and smell to describe what it would have been like to be a solider on the battlefield. We have also made some silhouette art work remembering the fallen soldiers. To pay our respects we visited Southwick Green cenotaph on Remembrance Day to lay a wreath and enjoyed speaking with the Southwick Green preservation society about our English work.
