Year 1: Romaine Devlin, your confidence growth is making everyone around you smile-well done, Romaine! Sofia Ball, this is for simply being you-never change! Well done, Sofia! Emily Cruickshanks, you are a year 1 superstar and you’ve tried your best in everything you have done-well done, Emily!

Year 2: Marshall Richardson, you were a credit to our school when we went on our trip to the Life Centre-well done, Marshall! Ivan Glover, you were an absolute dream on our trip this week and you loved joining in with the experiments-well done, Ivan!

Year 3: Ghemisola Ilori, this is for simply being you! You are a true role model and have a fantastic attitude to your learning-well done, Ghemisola! Olivia Kennedy, you put 100% effort into everything you do and you’re a great role model-well done, Olivia!

Year 4: Amelia Longstaff, you are trying so hard in literacy and your report on the Commonwealth Games was amazing-well done, Amelia! Lacey Clark and Larna Scott, you spoke with clarity and detail during your fantastic presentations about the playground-well done, Lacey and Larna!

Year 5: Jasmine Doughty, your contributions in science lessons this week were amazing-well done, Jasmine! All of Year 5-you were so knowledgeable about our coastline on our trip and were great ambassadors for our school-well done, all of you! Lainey Rae Brett, your research project into Herne Bay was amazing-well done, Lainey!

Year 6: Ashton Daley, you were amazing at Derwent Hill-you were so helpful and born to be in the wild-well done, Ashton! Connie Murphy and Jaycie-Leigh Conlon, you were amazing in your gymnastic show and made us so proud-well done girls! Jayden Docherty, you are sensible at all times and a true role model-well done, Jayden!

This week’s focus was ‘to look forward to change’. There are so many changes in school at the minute with everyone getting ready for their summer holidays and then new classes in September. Year 6 are all embracing going to ‘big school’ in September and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone here at Southwick!

Head Teacher Shout Out!

Mr Robson has had another lovely week! We are all so proud of all of the Year 5 and 6 children who were at Derwent Hill last weekend-you were all great ambassadors for our school and tried everything the centre had to offer-you were wonderful! The Gymnastic Clubbers were amazing yesterday in their performance to parents-you could see all of the hard work and dedication that had gone into your routine and we are all so proud of you-well done gymnasts!
