World Book Day

What an amazing World Book Day we had at Southwick School! There was so much going on and ALL of the children and staff has so much fun. Mr Robson was dressed up as the front cover from ‘Wonder’ by R J Palacio, Mrs Ellison was The Queen of Hearts from ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and Miss Thexton was Superman!

All of the boys and girls had some amazing costumes on so take a look at the pictures below – can you recognise anyone?

We had children reading around the fire pit, we had children making Turkish Delight from ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’, we had children speaking to an author online and we even had ‘The Reading Fairy’ dropping books off for our classes. Wow! Some children got to design their own front covers, some children got the make book marks and some children even got to make their favourite book characters out of potatoes. The school was buzzing with books and talk of reading!
