Year 5 had so much fun at the Beacon of Light celebrating World Book Day. We took part in many different fantastic activities like making our own magical potions (linking to George’s Marvellous Medicine), making our own Harry Potter themed biscuits, designing our own wands, working with Annie Flanagan (a famous author) to create our own stories, going on an exciting book hunt around the Beacon of Light and participated in some wonderful sporting games and activities. To top it off we met some professional footballers who play for Sunderland and got their autographs! Josh Dickinson won a prize for the best dressed and Jake McGregor won a prize for showing great ambition and inspiration throughout the day!
