British Science Week-Amazing Inventors

This week is British Science week! British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. We have all kinds of fun activities going on in school this week based around our theme Amazing Inventors. There are many events taking place locally in support of British Science week and we’ve put together a list of activities that might be of interest.

Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens are hosting a British Science festival on Saturday 16th March, details below:

Beamish Museum -On Saturday, 16th and Sunday, 17th March, they’ll be running visitor sessions of Just One Spark. This activity explores the history of the safety mining lamp. You can also have a go at building pictures using our carpet tangrams in the school!
