Ten brave and talented Y4 students competed in a Kwik Cricket tournament on Tuesday at Monkwearmouth School. Although this was a new sport for most, everyone performed so well for their team, gaining points in various ways. Many wickets were taken by Olivia F, Olivia D, Yousef and Jake, knocking many points off their oppositions. There were shows of such brave batting from Conrad, Aaron, Owen and Corey, with some amazing catches coming from Henri!
Everyone played their part in two terrific wins and an extremely close loss to finish 2nd in their league. Comments were made by Monkwearmouth staff highlighting how brilliant the Southwick team performed and how close they had been to winning.
