Mrs Ellison and I were recently very privileged to be invited to speak at a National Conference in London around Mental Health and well-being. It was as a result of winning the School Community Award in the Mayor of London’s residence last year. It was an even greater honour (and even more nerve-wracking!!) as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton was in attendance.
We were asked to talk on ‘Getting Children ready for School’ and how we support our children and our families. We were able to share some of the things that we do in school and also share the fantastic support we get from our families during workshops and through our Lantern Festival.
It was lovely for our school to get recognised at National level for our excellent community and family support. Some of the slides below are what we showed at the conference.
