On Friday 1st March 2019 our mini police recruits took part in a water safety training day at Northumbria Police Marine Centre in Jarrow. They were taught how to stay safe in and around water and also learned how to spot developing and dangerous situations.
The Mini Police were also given a guided tour of the Centre by two of the divers and were given an insight into the role of a marine police officer and the challenges they face on a daily basis.
The Centre is only one of two in the world.
