As you may have seen on television the Woodland Trust is fighting against climate change. We have fully supported this in school by planting nearly 200 trees.
The UK needs more trees. They are the ultimate multi-taskers in the fight against climate change.
They lock up carbon, fight flooding, reduce pollution, nurture wildlife and make landscapes more resilient’
The Woodland Trust
We want to create a mini forest, have some trees around the perimeter of the school and with our children’s help fight against climate change.
We also have 2 wonderful Willow trees that were a parting gift to Mrs Chorley who sadly left the school in September.
We’ll be planting some more trees in March. The children and staff had an amazing time planting them and the children can’t wait to see them start growing in spring. Well done to all of our Eco warriors.
