The Year 4 football team went to Howletch Lane Primary in Peterlee to take part in the County Cup semi-finals this week, playing against three strong sides to compete for a place in the final. Once again, the team did our school extremely proud. The attitude was first class, giving their absolute all in every game. It was wonderful to see our players showing great sportsmanship throughout, checking on players from the other teams who might have been hurt and showing respect at all times. Sadly, the results did not go our way but we can count ourselves extremely unlucky – we played some great football, but just didn’t get the rub of the green this time. However, every single player should be extremely proud of the way they played and that they did things exactly the right way.
